The Trayvon Martin-Zimmerman trial is about more than the murder of a young black male. It’s about the VALUE (or lack of value) of ALL BLACK LIFE.
It has already been confirmed HUNDREDS OF TIMES that ANY law enforcement officer — including a security transit guard (toy cop) — can murder an unarmed black person and either walk free OR serve a sentence so out of proportion to the loss of a life that it amounts to a slap on the wrist.

Oscar Grant III was fatally shot by BART police officer Johannes Mehserle in Oakland, California, United States, in the early morning hours of New Year’s Day 2009.

Responding to reports of a fight on a crowded Bay Area Rapid Transit train returning from San Francisco, BART Police officers detained Oscar Grant and several other passengers on the platform at the Fruitvale BART Station. Officer Johannes Mehserle and another officer were restraining Grant, who was lying face down and allegedly resisting arrest.
Officer Mehserle stood and, according to witnesses, said: “Get back, I’m gonna tase him.” Then Mehserle drew his gun and shot Grant once in the back. During his court testimony, Mehserle said that Grant then exclaimed, “You shot me!” Grant turned out to be unarmed; he was pronounced dead the next morning at Highland Hospital in Oakland.
The events were captured on multiple digital video and cell phone cameras. The footage was disseminated to media outlets and to various websites, where it was watched millions of times. The following days saw both peaceful and violent protests.
The shooting has been variously labeled an involuntary manslaughter and a summary execution. On January 13, Alameda County prosecutors charged Mehserle with murder for the shooting. He resigned his position and pleaded not guilty. The trial began on June 10, 2010. Michael Rains, Mehserle’s criminal defense attorney, argued that Mehserle mistakenly shot Grant with his pistol, intending to use his Taser when he saw Grant reaching for his waistband.
Pretrial filings argue that his client did not commit first-degree murder and asked a Los Angeles judge to instruct the jury to limit its deliberations to either second-degree murder or acquittal. Oakland civil rights attorney John Burris filed a $25 million wrongful death claim against BART on behalf of Grant’s family.
On July 8, 2010, the jury returned its verdict: Mehserle was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter and not guilty of second-degree murder and voluntary manslaughter. Initial protests against the ruling were peacefully organized; looting, arson, destruction of property, and small riots broke out after dark. Nearly 80 people were eventually arrested.

On November 5, 2010, Mehserle was sentenced to two years, minus time served. He served his time in the Los Angeles County Jail, occupying a private cell away from other prisoners. He was released on June 13, 2011 and is now on parole.
In May 2012, Mehserle urged an appeals court Wednesday to overturn his involuntary manslaughter conviction, saying that letting it stand would place police under an increased threat of prosecution for “making mistakes.”

The REAL issue that is on “trial” is NOT Zimmerman’s guilt. That much is OBVIOUS.
As far as I’m concerned, Zimmerman is guilty of PREMEDITATED MURDER after he STALKED 17-year-old UNARMED Trayvon Martin–against police instructions–ARMED with a 9mm pistol against a BOY armed with a bag of Skittle and a bottle of ice tea.
If Trayvon was white, Zimmerman would have IMMEDIATELY lost his honorary “white man” status and would have been arrested and charged with murder within HOURS–not MONTHS. There would be NO DOUBT in the minds of the WHITE prosecutor, police, judge, jury, or mainstream media that Zimmerman was a MURDERER.
All that aside, what’s at stake in this trial is NOT only whether Trayvon and his family will receive JUSTICE, the biggest unspoken question is:
Can a PRIVATE CITIZEN–on a WHIM–stalk and murder ANY unarmed black male, female, or child, claim “self-defense,” and walk free?

If Zimmerman walks OR is given an “Oscar Grant” slap on the wrist by a Jury (rigged) with five white females and one female Hispanic, the VERDICT puts a BULL’S-EYE TARGET on every black person in the United States, regardless of sex, age or infirmary.
The Zimmerman VERDICT on the heels of the whites-only “Stand Your Ground” and “concealed carry” laws should be a WAKE-UP CALL for ALL black people, regardless of income, “class,” education, or the “skin color” of bed partners we choose to have.
The Zimmerman trial ALSO reinforces another MAINSTAY in a white supremacy system: All black males–regardless of age or size–are BLACK BRUTES and CRIMINALS who should be handled with EXCESSIVE FORCE WHENEVER POSSIBLE and are NEVER to be viewed as VICTIMS–regardless of the evidence OR the circumstances.
It is OBVIOUS that the media and the defense lawyers for Zimmerman are MORE concerned with proving that Trayvon Martin — a brown-skinned black male–is a criminal than proving Zimmerman isn’t.
In fact, the investigators DRUG-TESTED Trayvon Martin’s dead body shortly after his murder but did NOT test Zimmerman for drugs NOR did they even detain him. After Zimmerman MURDERED Trayvon Martin on February 26, 2012, he wasn’t charged until April 11, 2012– almost two months LATER.
Had it NOT been for the INTERNATIONAL SPOTLIGHT cast on this MURDER, I am ONE THOUSAND PERCENT CERTAIN that no charges would have EVER been brought against George Zimmerman.
It is also OBVIOUS that the (white supremacy) prosecution is working in LEAGUE with the defense team by:
1. Not objecting to a jury that excluded blacks
2. Not preparing their witnesses to testify
3. Not fighting to have EXPERT testimony from audio analysis experts, which could EASILY VERIFY which person was calling for help
4. Not hammering hard the OBVIOUS flaws in the Zimmerman defense, like Zimmerman’s CRIMINAL HISTORY as compared to Martin who had NONE. And making the point that it doesn’t matter WHOSE voice is calling for help IF Zimmerman was the ARMED AGGRESSOR. For example, if a man pursued a woman with a 9mm with the intent to rob and rape her, and by the grace of God she gets in a few kicks, bites, and scratches BEFORE he shoots and kills her, would that make her the CRIMINAL?
How could an UNARMED person being STALKED ever be the VICTIMIZER of the ARMED person who is STALKING THEM?

My Prediction
I believe the VERDICT for the Trayvon Martin/Zimmerman murder trial will be a MIRROR IMAGE of the VERDICT in the Oscar Grant/Johannes Mehserle murder trial. It is NO ACCIDENT that the RIGGED Zimmerman jury has been given the manslaughter option as opposed to convicting OR acquitting him of murder.
I also believe that Zimmerman–like Mehserle–IF convicted will be sentenced to two to four years, minus time served, will occupy a private cell away from other prisoners, and will be released on parole after serving LESS than 18 months of his sentence.
My Suggestions After the Verdict is Announced
Four suggestions:
1. AVOID reacting with excessive emotion and use that ENERGY to EDUCATE OURSELVES about the system of white supremacy. (check out the Counter-Racism Boot Camp) I don’t believe ANY black person on the planet should be surprised if Zimmerman walks OR is convicted of manslaughter and receives a light sentence. IN FACT, we should expect it. Black people should NEVER riot to oppose injustice. We must learn to STRATEGIZE so we can UNIFY for OUR MUTUAL PROTECTION and SURVIVAL. Rioting serves NO purpose. We have to start being ANALYTICAL and STRATEGIC– just like our ENEMIES are towards us.
2. WORK on reducing our OWN anti-blackness — which means AVOIDING people, places, things, and activities that DEGRADE, MINIMIZE and/or MARGINALIZE other black people. That includes movies, comedy, entertainment, TV shows, and music that portray blacks as LUSTING after whites, being buffoons, sexual deviates, morons, criminals, clowns, whores, monsters, and freaks. We must also wean ourselves away from excessive materialism, and name-calling (bitches and rachet hos and niggas and dawgs). We must NEVER, EVER UPLIFT non-black people above black people — neither IN or OUT of the bedroom.
3. REDIRECT our energy into CONSTRUCTIVE ACTIVITIES that will help dismantle the system of white supremacy/anti-blackness by helping others, teaching, training, sharing knowledge, encouraging, supporting, respecting, caring, and spending INSTRUCTIVE time with our children teaching them about the system of white supremacy. That includes buying from and supporting GOOD black businesses whenever possible, and starting our own black businesses.
4. PROGRAM ourselves to respect AND understand the IMPORTANCE of BLACK UNITY. There is a REASON the white supremacist media is promoting the separation of BLACK MALE from BLACK FEMALE in TV commercials, TV shows, and films.

What is behind the EPIDEMIC of MURDERS of unarmed brown and dark-skinned black males? This might be off-topic but I believe it’s IMPORTANT to understand why brown and dark-skinned black males are being targeted for ASSASSINATION more than any other single group in the United States by so-called authority (or wanna-be authority) figures:

I also suggest that you all research the case involving Kenneth Chamberlain. He was a former military veteran who was murdered by cops after accidentally pressing his heart pacer. The an ambulance was supposed to come to his house, the cops showed up saying racial slurs and took his life. Now this happened in November 2011, and I have yet to hear about anybody being charged for Mr. Chamberlain’s death.

I agree, the ONLY protection is UNITY. You’re right, these attacks are not going to stop because they have never stopped but the more UNIFIED we are, the better our chances at survival.
Like the killings in Chicago, it’s easy for anyone to come in the black community and pick us off because we don’t look out for each other. I’m not blaming us, I’m saying a HOUSE DIVIDED means nobody is watching the front or the back doors. We don’t even know WHO is doing the killing because the police hardly ever catch anyone — and I can almost assure you that if most of the killing was “gang-related” there is NO ONE easier to catch than an underage gang member. He’s going to tell someone or someone already knows or someone was with him and the police informants or another gang member looking to cop a plea will ALWAYS tell what they know.

unfortunately, you’re probably right. Some of us want to understand what we’re looking at while others will sink their heads deeper in the sand and stay in denial.
I’m not so sure about the white male’s “fear” of black males. They have pretty much subdued and confused the black male. Now is a period of just having their perverse way with the black male. The killing of black males by white males or at the behest of white females is NEVER met with due response. The whites mistreat the black male – he in turn mistreats the black female and other black males. This is why if Zimmerman gets away with this Black folk should appeal to the Justice Department to make a clear statement that any whites can accost and kill a black person and get away with it. We need them to make a clear and concise statement so there’s no more confusion and no more juvenile expectations of justice. This Trayvon case has so many implications -it’s not separate from those young black men who will kill each other over the appearance of a “diss” but won’t lift a hand against those who most obviously “diss” them. If we as parents, as adults in our “communities” can’t show our children that we’re able – at least willing to try – to protect them, what response do we expect from them.
Black parents need to march on the Justice Department to tell us what we are supposed to tell our children about being approached by a stranger – by a “creepy ass cracker” or any other creep. With children being abducted, raped and murdered on the street, what advice does “Law Enforcement” have. Obviously it’s something different than how other children are advised. Have “law enforcement” issue a clear statement to Black youth (and all Blacks) that if any white approaches you – you are to answer any questions, without “attitude” and without a thought to defend yourself lest you be JUSTifiably killed.

I agree it’s not a fear of the black male PHYSICALLY but I do believe they fear him GENETICALLY and perhaps even SPIRITUALLY. There is something deeper going on that just simple hatred. These are all great suggestions. I really hope people don’t get out of hand after the verdict. It really doesn’t solve anything by breaking into stores,starting fires and beating up random white folks. It may sound good but in the long run we pay for it in the end. I really think they’re trying to push us to the limit with this one. It’s like a slow build up to a race war. You can feel the tension in the air. I feel something bad is just around the corner. Martial law? Banning more guns?? We’ll see.

The length of that post is nothing short of a person who is narcissistic, and has other Borderline Personality Disorders. The comments that ensue are also just as long, tedious and “I” filled. There is no way a person can use the word “I” that many times or have almost epic poem length responses without coming across to normal, functional individuals as a sociopath.

I wouldn’t be surprised. It used to be easier to tell the white impostors but like all things, whites STUDY and IMPROVE on their practice of racism. I remember on BlackVoices how many flame wars between black males and females were started by white impostors. It got so bad that I stopped going there. And even when you tried to intervene, the heat was so HOT that no one would listen.
I also noticed that about that time frame you mentioned that there was a study (by white people) that said young black females had higher self-esteem than white, Asian and Hispanic girls, and I remembered thinking, “Uh oh, they’re going to come after us because that was not acceptable that we felt better about ourselves than white girls? After all that’s been done to us? What nerve!”
And sure enough, I started seeing a lot of ugly images of black females in music, movies, TV, and pushing weaves at young black females by making SURE that NO BLACK FEMALE ENTERTAINER would be successful without wearing one OR at least perming her hair.

Phoebeprunelle I have noticed this too. As I am in school and a lot of us are rejecting the hair mess and are waking up. What you said about the attacks makes a lot of sense and would explain the strange behavior by that guy. I don’t know if, he is black or not, but I have ran into my fair share of black men who sound just like him. They are usually hurt, confused and misdirect their anger at black women perhaps as that is the last place and people they feel they can safely do so with. I also find it interesting that some people are trying to sideline what happened to Travyon Martin by bringing up Black-on-Black crime. These folks assert that Black people only care about crimes against them when Whites hurt us, but we have no concern when other Blacks kill each other.
To me, Black-on-Black crime and White-on-Black crime has the same root cause – ANTI-BLACKNESS – so they’re both related. And I only see Black people express public concern about us killing each other, while Whites only care when we complain about White-on-Black violence.
Maybe if we worked on our anti-blackness, neither instances would take place at all. And perhaps if we lived in a culture that didn’t promote violence 24/7, we could finally live in a state of peace everywhere. After all, the Europeans brag about inventing guns long ago, so it’s logical to assume that they’re responsible for much of the violence among Whites and Non-Whites.

Yes ms pam it is interesting. I think some of them are self destructing, I see a lot of vids of them hitting each other in the nuts or kicking each other in the nuts. I don’t see any other men doing such crazy behavior, as most men know that is how their bloodline is passed on. If they don’t protect their jewels they won’t have any more descendants.
